DESIGN PROCESS

OUR APPROACH

PHASE 1

CLIENT DISCOVERY

We intend our introductory meeting to get to know you better: your aesthetics, your lifestyle vision, your inspiration, and your expectations for the project. We create a design summary that considers the intended voyages of the vessel as well as its size, layout, autonomy, speed, construction, materials, and aesthetics. We also discuss your schedule requirements for the design and construction phases.

PLANNING

We will present you with a written design process that outlines the project deliverables for each milestone and future meetings or interactions. We will also communicate an estimate for the design work required and the time needed for the proposal.

KICKOFF  

Here, the work commences for both interior and exterior design. We undertake this step with the help of visual assets: mood boards, design language aids, architectural details, and ideation sketches. Each visual asset is anchored by your feedback. Kicking off serves as a means for you to guide us with your preferred design directions at an early stage.

LAYOUT & PROFILE PROPOSALS 

We will deliver preliminary layout options alongside a selection of profile renders that adhere to your concept and lifestyle expectations. We share prospective sketches to illustrate layouts, spaces, elements, and important functions. We pair this with mood boards for furnishings and hardware definition, with the intention to clarify your preferred interior style in anticipation of the next stage of project development.

PHASE 2

KICKOFF MEETING WITH NAVAL ARCHITECT

We meet with the naval architect to handover Phase 1 work and to plan the final layout and inboard profile. Once approved, we proceed with a preliminary 3D exterior model in direct collaboration with the naval architect and shipyard.

REFINING LAYOUT & INTERIOR DESIGN

We further refine the layout in adherence to the conceptual and naval architectural requirements.

Our interior team then embark on preliminary 3D visualisations for key spaces of the yacht supplemented by material boards to illustrate colour palettes, tactile feels, and finishes.

PRESENTATION OF VISUALIZATIONS

We meet with all involved parties to present 3D visualisations of the exterior and interior. Feedback from this meeting enables us to implement changes and schedule follow-up meetings until you and all parties are satisfied.  

PHASE 3

Once the design is approved, we proceed to handover the interior and exterior packages to the naval architect and to the shipyard to produce construction drawings.

PHASE 4

This phase comprises follow-up meetings during the construction process to ensure the quality of the project and to finalise any relevant design issues
